Professional Code Services, Inc. is a well-established third-party UCC inspection agency serving several municipalities in Western Pennsylvania and is seeking applicants for the full-time building official position.
Responsibilities for this position include performing all state mandated residential and commercial inspections, property maintenance and fire prevention inspections as needed; as well as enforcing the PA UCC and local zoning ordinances.
Position Requirements:
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Building Inspection Administration and the following UCC certifications: Commercial Building; Plumbing; Mechanical; Electrical; Energy Inspector; and Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner.
Fire Inspector certification and PA UCC BCO certification are preferred. Applicants must have a valid, insurable driver’s license.
Applicants must be able to work independently, work on multiple projects simultaneously, work both in the office and in-the-field, be able to adapt to a constantly changing work environment and have excellent customer relations skills.
Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
