The Borough of Hellertown is accepting applications for a full time Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer. The individual selected for this position will be assigned to apply and enforce the zoning, subdivision, land development, property maintenance, flood plain and fire safety ordinance as well as perform the duties of Building Code Official.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in code enforcement and residential, commercial and industrial construction. Position requires a Building Code Official (BCO #29) and Fire Safety (#18) certification and a thorough knowledge of the requirements of the Uniform Construction Code. GIS experience is a plus.
The applicant will have the ability to effectively plan and organize assignments, document results and communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Microsoft computer skills and an ability to interact in a professional and tactful manner with the public is required. A valid PA driver’s license is a must.
