Starting Salary Range: $78,827 to $86,710 (DOQ) with an excellent benefits package

The Centre Region Council of Governments is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Services Manager, for Centre Region Code Administration, which serves seven municipalities (population of 100,000) in Centre County.

This is a non-technical role that enhances customer service, manages community relations, public outreach and education, and fosters positive relationships with CRCA staff, member municipalities, permit holders, developers, contractors, architects, engineers, property owners/managers, and the public. The Administrative Services Manager also oversees permit processing and supervises the Administrative Division, ensuring efficient daily operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four years of experience in administrative management, customer service, and process improvement OR a combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of relevant professional-level experience.
  • A strong track record in customer service with the ability to facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Personnel management experience, including the ability to mentor, inspire, and lead staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Administrative and analytical experience, preferably within local government
  • Experience in public education and outreach.
  • Understanding of building construction, real estate, & property maintenance industries.
  • Attendance at the PA Building Code Official Academy (or an equivalent program) and obtaining a Permit Technician Certification within one year of hire.
  • A valid PA driver’s license is required to be maintained throughout employment.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal History Background Check and Child Abuse Clearances.
